Dear Papa,
Thank you for your stories and your humor. Thank you for Pagosa, for your love of the West, for your love of the outdoors, and for passing those on to me. Thank you for your generosity, tenderness, and kindness. Thank you for instilling in me a love of learning and for being the encouragement I needed to pursue my PhD. Thank you for teaching your kids and grandkids to serve and love others and to love each other. Lastly, thank you for my bowl -- that beautiful, beautiful bowl.
