Mount Oly

It was the perfect day to skip school and hike.  I've done this hike every year for the past couple of years, but every time I do it, I forget how tough it really is!  Zach and I got to the top in just two and a half hours and I was pooped...but it was so worth it!  We sat at the top for forever eating lunch, taking pictures, and signing our names to put in the mailbox up there (it's fun to read who else has been up and what they wrote...we even found our friends' names who came up a few days before!)
I think hiking will be my new summer hobby.

Goodbye Oly Lax... It's been real.

Tonight was our lacrosse banquet... I won the captain's award for "Doctor Sexy Legs" -- don't ask.  (The captains give each player an "award" based on the season...usually resulting from an inside joke.)  I also won one of six awards given out by the coaches.  I received the dedication award for consistently being at practice and working my hardest.  Jessica said, "A team of Courtneys is what would take us to the state championship," which was quite the compliment to me!  I can't believe I am done with high school lacrosse for the rest of forever... THANK YOU EMILY for being my lax mama and helping me find this sport that I love so much!
Wingin' it since I didn't know seniors were speaking.  #courtneyprobs
I LOVE MY TEAM!!!

"What are you two going to do without each other next year?" -Zana ...truth is Zana, I don't know--what am I going to do without my best friend, RU??
My lax ladies...plus the photo bombers in back.

It's just another lax life.

The season is officially over :(  We had a great last game, but unfortunately lost by just a couple of goals.  I am going to miss my lacrosse FAMILY!!  Thanks ladies for such a fun season... and as Zana said, #iloveyoumorethanfood.
1, 2, 3...D!!!!

i love my mom.

Happy Mothers' Day to the best mom in the world.  Thanks for always making me smile, listening to my long rambling nothings, supporting me, encouraging me, picking me up when I fall, motivating me to accomplish my goals, laughing with me, and being my best friend.  Love you, Mom! xoxo

The first of many

Well, we are now "those kids" going from ward to ward to listen to everyone's farewell talks.  Ahhh I can't believe that our boys are getting ready to leave on their missions.  So far 68 boys in my class have their mission calls with more coming every week.  Weston, Parker, and Josh leave in exactly one month...crazy right??  Weston's farewell was today and he gave such an amazing talk.  I just know he's going to be a wonderful missionary!  Albuquerque is lucky to have him.  Congrats, Stin!

TAYO

We played our last home game today...against one of the best teams in the state...and lost miserably.  Ya, not a good combo.  So, feeling all frustrated and ready to just eat and go to bed I start leaving the field until someone calls my name.  And guess who it was?? It was Tayo!!!  Taylor moved right before sophomore year and we don't get to see each other very often.  And last time I talked to her she said she wasn't going to be able to come out this summer so that meant we probably wouldn't see each other for another year or even more.

But she is here.  And she came to my game.  And I had no clue that she was coming.  And I am so happy.  And I hugged her.  And I started crying. And it was the best surprise ever.
Katie captured this candid moment...of us both crying.
Today after she surprised me.
