Spontaneous Camping Trip

Don't you love it when your friends call you wondering if you want to go camping that night?  At least, I do.  Taylor, Nate, and I drove down to American Fork canyon to meet up with Lexie, Freeman, his brother, and his roommate.  Freeman claimed he knew the exact spot, but we ended up chillin on the side of the road while he ran around trying to find the trail.  I am pretty sure some of the cars driving past us thought we were homeless hitchhikers.  It's okay though, it was pretty funny!  Eventually we found the trail and it led us to a really cool secluded spot.  We spent the night roasting marshmallows, talking around the fire, and fending off the cute yet annoying mouse that kept trying to come hang out with us.

The canoe may or may not have rolled off the top of the car at one point in our random night.

Everyone from our grade has been coming home from their missions lately and we decided it was time to see them all!  Taylor, Shlyn, and I planned a campfire up the canyon as a "mini-reunion."  It was so fun seeing all our friends who we haven't seen in ages as well as meeting some new friends of friends!  

I would also like to note the two important accomplishments today: 

-I parallel parked all in one try

-Taylor and I made the fire without lighter fluid or boys (we pride ourselves in the fact that this was both successful and also not the first time we've been the fire masters)

Sometimes, when Dad drives the boat for tubing we all fear for our lives a little bit.  I'm pretty sure in this picture we were all sure we were about to die.  We love it though :D

Seriously, this is the cutest group of friends ever.  I had the best night hanging out with them all...learning how to "whip and nae nae", geocaching, eating snow cones, and discussing plans for a future fish which they would all buy together and trade off each week.  My favorite part is probably driving them around, listening to all their cute and funny conversations...they are always making me laugh!  Ahh I don't ever want them to grow up!

Spontaneous Boating Adventures

I had just gotten home from work, showered, got all ready for the night, and was literally stepping outside the door to go to Taylor's when Phil, Nate, and Adam called me.
"Want to go boating right now?"
"Umm...sure!!"
So I promptly turned around, grabbed my swimsuit and towel, hurried to Taylor's, and they picked us up just a minute later.
In the words of Taylor, "When someone invites you to go boating, you go.  It's just what you do."
