*sigh of relief*

FINALLY we have reached spring break...the most needed break of the year.  Third term is the longest and hardest term and what better way to end it than with a week long break and sunny weather?
And what better way to spend the first day of spring break than at the zoo with Carly, Ashlyn, and Carly's younger brother and sister?

Congrats Marty on getting your Eagle!

Good Weather and "Dear Elder"

Ruby and I have decided to take up rollerblading as a new official hobby.

Dane and Campbell both received their mission calls today!!  Dane is going to Monterrey, Mexico and Campbell is going to Chihuahua, Mexico.  Eight boys got their calls just today, adding to the 23 who already received theirs, with many more expected to come soon.  These boys are all such amazing examples to me and I am so proud of each one of them for choosing to serve a mission!
Wardies 4 life.

Senior Bucket List

"I wanna run through the halls of my high school.  I wanna scream at the top of my lungs.  I just found out there's no such thing as the real world.  It's just a lie you've got to rise above."
While sitting at the end of the hall one day doing homework with Zoe and Carly, an epiphany came to me--this would be the best hallway to rollerblade down!  So, since it is the last week in the old school before they tear it down and we move over, my friends and I decided to take the opportunity and cross "rollerblade through the halls of our high school and scream at the top of our lungs" off our Senior Bucket List.  We had a good 30 minutes before the stickler vice-principle found us and told us to stop. (Although, I think that he secretly thought it was a genius idea, but had to say that to keep up the scary reputation.)
Last picture in the gym before it gets torn down.

Senior bucket list item #2 that I have crossed off this week?  Go into the room at the top of the "stairs to nowhere."  Yesterday as we went up the stairs to nowhere to take this picture, out walked a vice-principle and he let us go inside!  Turns out it's an old coach's office that leads into the gym.

Being s p o n t a n e o u s

Lizzy and I spontaneously decided to go stag together to the spontaneous dance after our lacrosse game  on Friday (which we won 13-4 by the way!) so we hurried and found some spontaneous and random clothes (everyone loved the shiny and sparkly pants) and made it in time for the last five songs!  Spontaneous dance is announced a couple of days before the dance and either boys or girls can ask by exchanging wristbands that we were given.  Spontaneous dates, spontaneous activities, and spontaneous clothes.

"Stay, stay, stay.  I've been lovin' you for quite some time, time time."

College Bound

Today I received a letter from University of Washington (Seattle)....I've been ACCEPTED!  Woohoo!!  So far I've been accepted to Virginia Tech, BYU, Fordham, and now University of Washington--I will have heard back from all of my colleges by the first week of April (ah crazy!!).

Bringing in Spring (the right way)

When it feels so warm at 48˚ (a new high for us) and Zoe has a tandem bike and I have rollerblades, we must take the opportunity presented us!  Yesterday, Zoe and Ruby rode the tandem and I followed on rollerblades to buy ice cream.  Afterwards, we went to a close restaurant for pizza (and let me tell you, you get some pretty funny looks when the only shoes you have are rollerblades).
I think our senior-itis is kicking in and yesterday we were faced with a reality check...we may have been trying to pretend it was summer, but we were riding past snow and the sun went down at 6:00.  Oh well, it was still quite the adventure and lots of fun!
