I was very tired today and after church took a nice long nap.  It was wonderful :)

I had such a fun time and a great experience in Ecuador, but it is always nice to be home again.

My cousin and her parents visited for today, so she got to celebrate New Year's with my friends and me.  It was such a fun surprise to hear that she was coming!

Day 302

Today was our last day in Ecuador.  We went zip-lining through the jungle, river rafting, and on a hike that led to a water slide built into the side of the mountain.  It was the perfect way to end our trip.

Day 301

Today was our last day working in the orphanage.  I worked with the newborns and they are so adorable!  We're all going to miss the kids here.

This afternoon our family (and a few of the other volunteers) had a chance to take five boys from the handicapped orphanage up a gondola from the base of Quito to the top of tallest mountain in the city.  I'm learning a little bit of Spanish from being here and was able to communicate with the boys, which I was very happy about!  We all loved getting to know each other and everyone had a great time.  The view made you feel like you were on the top of the world - it was gorgeous!
