Each year the kids trade off who gets to put the star on top of the Christmas tree. Since this year is my last year at home and the last year I will get to help decorate the tree, Nicholas so generously let me have his turn to put up the star!

Also each year, we go to Grandpa and Diane's house for "Dutch Christmas." Diane went on her mission to Holland and for Christmas the children put their shoes out and in the morning they have a little present in their shoes, so each year we put a shoe out and when we leave chocolate has "magically" appeared in our shoes :)

| Grandpa always gives the most thoughtful gifts, which everyone loves. This year he gave a collection of stories about himself from the time he was a kid up until now. We loved listening to him read a few to us! |
